About the painting: "Inner Peace" Original Oil Painting by Dakota Daetwiler - 2021
This is a very special piece I painted of my inner child. Not many people know this about me, but all of my life I have had this place I go to escape the real world. It always involves lots of color, rainbows, waterfalls, animals, magic and is as serene as you can imagine. I tried my best to put it on to canvas for this. My nick name is "Koda Bear" so of course my inner child is painting with her bear friends. (The bear is dipping it's paw into the berries and painting on the tree.) When I am being creative this is where my brain takes me... away from all the bad stuff in the world, away from disease and disasters and sadness. Some might call it mal-adaptive daydreaming, I call it my coping skills.I hope it brings some peace to you too.
