"Melancholy" 2024 Painting by Dakota Daetwiler
I painted this piece just because I loved these flowers I saw. I snapped a few pictures with my phone and had to paint them, they were so beautiful. I love the sunny yellow colors along with the greens and shades of white with shadows. There is something about this piece that made me a little bit sad, so I decided to call it melancholy; I think because beautiful sunny days are so fleeting, these beautiful moments come and go so quickly. Make sure to stop and smell the flowers as much as possible!
