"Redwood Galaxy Heart" - Painted in 2024 by Dakota Daetwiler. (The wood frame in the photos is included with the original.)
Dakota painted this to showcase her love for the redwoods and her home, Humboldt County CA, where she spent the first 30 years of her life. A glowing heart radiates in the center of a massive Redwood Tree trunk, with a galaxy and stars inside of it. Glowing mushrooms adorn the base of the tree, and a glowing full moon casts light upon the tree canopy and foliage. A baby deer sleeps peacefully under the glow of the mushrooms. This piece is whimsical and also intriguing, you can definitely get lost in the details... maybe to a whole other dimension.
