"Silver Lining" - Original Oil Painting by Dakota Daetwiler
 
I created this painting as an expression of my love for my home of over 30 years in the redwoods, as well as the struggles I faced in the past year. (2021) Despite recently being diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases, I find joy and hope in my ability to paint. The eagle in the painting represents soaring above challenges and finding perspective. The double rainbow and rhododendrons symbolize beauty and resilience, while the sun breaking through the fog represents hope and a way forward, or a silver lining. This painting holds a special meaning to me, and I hope you find peace when you look at it as I did while painting it.
