"The Joy of Christmas."
Painting by Dakota Daetwiler - 2021
This is a continuation to my 2019 painting titled "Frosty." It depicts after Santa left and has opened their presents and are enjoying the holiday lights and cheer.
I love using color and putting extra feeling into all my work, and I think this piece really did the job well. I wanted to capture the pure joy that kids have on Christmas, as well as throw in some fantasy elements of opening presents up with animal friends in the forest along side a magical, lit up Christmas tree.

Size: 40 inches wide, by 30 inches tall, by 0.75 inch depth. Painted on canvas, wrapped/stapled on a wood canvas stretcher, ready to hang. It can also be framed if you choose to do so. I do not offer framing myself.
